At The Apple Institute,
we want to make bridge the gap between evidence and health practice so agencies can implement strategies and programs with greater confidence about their potential effectiveness and they can learn from their successes and embed a cycle of continuous improvement in their programs. All with the aim of making a difference to the health of our community.

In designing programs we focus on the collection and synthesis of inclusive evidence to inform the design of public health programs. We collect “evidence” from a number of diverse but complementary sources including the literature, key stakeholders and importantly the target audience and we synthesis this information to be pragmatic and programmatic.
We develop real work evaluation frameworks that capture academic and scientific rigor and embed cycles of continuous program and service improvement. In evaluating programs we focus on clear, pragmatic research questions.
In communicating about programs we focus on developing and refining clear messages, minimising jargon, using easy to understand language and information.
